Isotropic 3D electron microscopy reference data of mouse choroid plexus (jrc_choroid-plexus-2)

Mouse choroid plexus epithelial cells, a primary source of the growth factor conic hedgehog in embryonic mouse brain. Here we present a typical 3D FIB-SEM data set of mouse choroid plexus at 8-nm isotropic voxel sampling. It reveals accumulation of multivesicular bodies near the epithelial cell ventricular surface.

Sample: Mouse choroid plexus

Protocol: Postfixed in 1.0% osmium tetroxide in 0.1M cacodylate buffer (pH 7.4) for 1 hour at room temperature. Following postfixation, the samples were rinsed with buffer, dehydrated through a graded series of ethanol, and embedded in durcupan.
