CellMap leverages Janelia’s unique imaging, computational, and technical expertise to support impactful research in interrogating high-resolution volume microscopy data. We generate exemplary 3D tissue datasets of seminal value and larger collective interest in a field so it can realize the potential and inspire new research directions in this emergent space of volume EM. CellMap will generate a comprehensive database of high quality images and reconstructions covering a large number of cell types in tissues of multiple species at different stages of its life. CellMap disseminates the resulting data, tools, and techniques to the scientific community, thereby democratizing access to these unique resources.
